Save the amount of time you spend writing meta descriptions. The Meta Descriptions Writer Google Sheets add-on leverages OpenAI’s GPT model to extract the most relevant text from a given URL and automatically generate a meta description.
Get started by installing the Meta Descriptions Writer add-on directly from the Google Workspace Marketplace. This add-on is compatible with all major web browsers and only necessitates a Gmail account for installation.
In any cell, input the URL for which you want to create a description. Additionally, you can specify the desired character length for the description in the adjacent cell.
Once you’ve entered the URL (or both the URL and the desired length), select the cell containing the URL (or both cells). Navigate to ‘Extensions’ and then select ‘Meta Descriptions Writer’ from the dropdown menu. Click on ‘Get Meta Description’. Your description would now be generated.
